The National Philanthropy Day
Awards Banquet seeks to plan, implement and sustain an
inclusive, collaborative event which honors individuals,
businesses and groups who, through their hard work and
dedication, have enhanced philanthropy, the world, and their
communities.
AWARDS BANQUET –
NOVEMBER 15th
The Association of Fundraising
Professionals (AFP) and the Young Nonprofit Professionals
Network (YNPN) will present awards at the National Philanthropy
Day Awards Banquet on Monday, November 15, 11:30-1:30
(registration 11-11:30), at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Individual
open seating tickets are $45 each, with reserved tables at $500
and sponsor tables available for $1000.

2010 NPD INNOVATIONS
This year, the AFP NM Chapter will be placing a special focus on
the impact NPD has on building a stronger community by adding
new innovations.

be presenting the 2010 NPD Award Recipients in the November

about each recipient. The issue will premier at the NPD

Builders”: A volunteer summer program which teaches
high school juniors the building blocks of community
philanthropy, “Community Builders” is incorporating the
perspectives and talents of the students into some exciting

Young Leaders Advocate of
the Year - Recognizing a young leader who
advocates for the development of young leadership
through programming and community connections

Youth in Philanthropy
awards: in addition to the awards for
Elementary, Middle and High School, a new “Youth
Collaborative” award will recognize the contributions of
groups.

ANNOUNCES 2010 PHILANTHROPY AWARD RECIPIENTS
The New Mexico Chapter of the Association of
Fundraising Professionals has announced the recipients of the 2010
National Philanthropy Day awards. From Carlsbad to Laguna, the
diverse award recipients represent the leaders in philanthropy in
their communities. The 2010 awards include a new designation for a
Southern New Mexico Leader in Philanthropy, a Youth Collaboration
award, and 3 new Young Nonprofit Professionals Network awards
